Bought this mostly for my oolong and it's been spot on, the sand runs about four minutes which is exactly my steep time. Watching it drain is weirdly calming too, way better than setting a phone alarm.

I’ve started using this before every cup and honestly the hourglass shape makes it so easy to glance at from across the kitchen while I prep. The sand runs right at three minutes for my black tea, and I’ve stopped over-brewing completely.

The sand itself flows at a steady pace that feels accurate for a quick steep, and the glass is clear enough to read from across the kitchen. I wish the wooden base had a bit more weight so it wouldn't slide on my counter, but it's perfectly functional for a daily cup.
